Q: Which stethoscope should I get?
A: The "best" stethoscope for a student boils down to price versus desired quality. To use the 3M Littmann as an example, basically you'll be presented with a choice like this:
Note that we said "desired" quality, though. A simple Classic III S.E. is definitely sufficient for the level of clinical activities you'll undertake as a student. However, a Cardiology IV is definitely better quality (more sensitive). Is that better quality required? No. But it's certainly desirable. Whether it's worth the additional S$100 is a personal decision.

Laboratory coats
Most of the Irish schools require you to wear white coats for anatomy dissections and/or clinical laboratory sessions/activities.

A: This certainly is dependent on your studying style. Some people work with a hard copy textbook while others work with electronic copies. Some do not even use textbooks at all and study off lecture slides and Google.
