MOH has responded to our queries regarding Points 1 and 2 in our previous statement.
1. Clarification on Point 3 of MOH’s statement
"As long as the University’s letter of offer for entry to medicine is dated before 1 January 2020, they will be eligible to apply for employment and medical registration. It does not matter if they enrol later e.g. in 2021. Our advice to these candidates would be to ensure that they keep the offer letter and other application documents in good order. 5/6 years down the road, they could be required to provide this to support their application for employment / medical registration."
2. Concern about affected schools being disadvantaged during employment
"We wish to wish to ensure everyone in the affected schools that there will not be any changes to how we assess applicants for employment. It will be the same clinical interviews and candidates will be selected based on competency."
We hope this reduces any confusion or worries you might have. Thank you.
