Every year, the Irish Graduates Association of Singapore (IGAS) organises a specialties talk for all current Singaporean students studying in Ireland. This year, we had the privilege of having Dr Low Teck Boon, Dr Kevin Chua, Dr Peter Loke and Dr David Carmody to share with us a little on their journeys from medical students to where they are today. General advice on when to return to Singapore and what the different fields of medicine are like was given by each doctor and they each gave a good overview of their various experiences. During the Q&A sessions, interesting topics like medical law and even tattoo removal as an aesthetic procedure was brought up.
Thank you to all the speakers for their very entertaining and informative talks! Special thanks to our sponsors - Dr Julian Theng and Eaglewings Loft for the venue and food and Dr Lee Sze Min for helping to organise this event.
