We had our Annual Trip on the 1st and 2nd November where we visited Cork city for an adventure-filled weekend!
On the 19th of July, the lrish Universities and Medical Schools Consortium (IUMC) held it's annual Tea Reception for the incoming freshmen at the Irish Residence in Singapore.
Summer festivities are in full swing again starting with Orientation 2019!
It's time of our annual Chinese New Year gathering in Dublin again! This year, we had a Paintball session followed by a really scrumptious dinner.
Once again, SMSI kicked off the year with it’s annual orientation on 7th & 8th July 2018. It was a great two days of fun and games with both seniors and freshers.
Over the weekend, SMSI had our first event of the academic year in the land of leprechauns, beer and green – our annual trip!
SMSI’s annual pre-departure dinner had for many years served as the first gathering for incoming Singaporean freshmen and current members of Irish medical universities. Being the second and more formal event of the year, the Pre-departure dinner still fulfils the same aim of further fostering a sense of community within SMSI on a more tight-knit and cosy platform, this time with students of the upper years and alumni, before members separate ways and embark on the new school year in their respective universities.
SMSI kicked off this summer with it's annual Freshmen Orientation to welcome it's new intake of medical and dentistry freshmen. Students from all five subsidiary schools (TCD, UCD, RCSI, UCC & NUIG) gathered for two days and participated in a time of heart pumping and adrenaline-filled games followed by a heart warming time of fellowship over dinner.
On the 4th of February, Singaporean medical and dentistry students from all over Ireland congregated in Dublin for our annual Chinese New Year celebration.
Every year, SMSI embarks on a trip to somewhere in Ireland for a weekend away from the city and to enjoy each other's company. This year, the trip brought us firstly to the city of Cork, where our friends in UCC kindly hosted a welcome party and let us crash their places overnight.
