LIFE AS A HOUSE OFFICER 2018

Heading home to Singapore and starting out as a houseman has always been a daunting task for any medical student and even more so for the ones who have studied overseas. After receiving many requests to organise an information session on "How life is like working back in Singapore", SMSI finally had the chance to organise a session in conjunction with our seniors who have graduated from Ireland and started work in Singapore.

Our Irish seniors have very kindly put together a presentation to help us understand what exactly they faced (and us too when we reach that stage) and tips on how to survive starting out as a fresh graduate in Singapore.

In a nutshell, fear not, for we will all survive! Stick it out, make friends and you'll do just fine - May the luck of the Irish be with you (even in Singapore).

A big thank you to all the seniors who have taken the time to prepare the slides and speak to us albeit your very busy schedule! We really do appreciate it :)
