On 17th July, a Monday evening, 114 medical students studying in Ireland and the UK attended the Singhealth Engagement session organised by SingHealth Residency and SMSUK and SMSI.
Nicole, president of SMSUK, and Audrey, president of SMSI, kicked start the event by sharing on their experiences being an overseas medical student and the insights gleaned from doing electives back at home

This was followed by an informative sharing by the distinguished A/Prof Lim Boon Leng, DIO of Singhealth residency. The sharing session was concluded with sharing by 3 overseas medical graduates who are now in various residencies.

Medical students then toured the cutting edge stimulation facilities in Academia, before ending the night with a networking session with residents and programme directors from the different specialities over a scrumptious dinner serving local delights.

We are thankful for the annual Singhealth Engagement sessions, where we are more informed on the changes in the healthcare sector, be inspired by international medical graduates and have our burning questions answered.

We thank Singhealth Residency and Medical Education office for organising this engagement session, and we hope to continue our partnership in the future.
