Summer festivities are in full swing again starting with Orientation 2019! Orientation 2019 lasted over 2 days from 5th to 6th July, with the first day held at East Coast Park and the second at Sentosa.
On day 1, the OGs played several games at different parts of the park which included 'Guess The Song', 'Nerf Gun Dog and Bone' and 'Guess The Food'. The night ended with a BBQ at the park where we enjoyed tasty food while chilling by the sea. Day 2 was beach day at Sentosa where we played the mass games where the different OGs had to race each other to finish half a watermelon with only chopsticks and also a massive water balloon battle! Spirits were high and it was heartening to see new bonds being formed among the society, especially with the freshmen. This year's orientation also saw the introduction of our first ever orientation singlet which helped provide a common sense of identity for both the juniors and seniors alike. Although this may be our last large-scale orientation due to MOH's recent revision of registrable degrees, we are glad that it was a very successful one and everyone had fun. We would like to thank Overseas Singaporean Unit (OSU) and Ministry of Health Holdings (MOHH) for sponsoring this event. We look forward to seeing everyone again in our upcoming events for the year! Love, SMSI Committee '19/20
